We come into contact with numerous legal fields due to the overlapping and inter-connected nature of our work, as shown in the list below. If you are unsure whether your legal matter falls within our areas of expertise, please feel free contact us for further information.
Commercial and corporate law
Commercial and corporate law is one of the main areas of expertise of our law firm. Key areas include, but are not limited to: Company formation, support for corporate structuring measures and legal disputes, as well as organizing corporate succession. Commercial law generally concerns questions regarding legislation for commercial agents, dealers and sales. We can advise and represent you both before court and out of court.
Private equity & venture capital
This discipline concerns the acquisition of shareholdings, management and employee share incentive schemes, mezzanine forms of financing (e.g. silent partnerships, profit sharing capital), management buy-outs (MBO), management buy-ins (MBI), leveraged buy-outs (LBO), exit arrangements and, last but not least, performance of due diligence.
Mergers and acquisitions
We have been providing advice for the purchase and sale of small and medium-sized companies, including joint ventures and mergers, for many years now. We have wide-ranging experience with confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, memorandums of understanding, due diligence etc. The same applies to legal support for restructuring action, such as mergers, spin-offs and changes of legal form.
Banking law is one of our office’s core practices thanks to our many years of experience in this field. We closely monitor the complex administration of justice in this field and apply the knowledge gained in a targeted manner when advising and representing our clients.

Our consultation services in the field of insolvency law include, but are not limited to: Preparation and initiation of insolvency procedures, advice for creditors in particular concerning segregation and separation rights, as well as contesting insolvency proceedings, registration of insolvency claims and also the defence of the debtor against claims from the insolvency administrator or against criminal charges, in particular delayed filing for insolvency.

Compliance literally means "adhering to the rules" and is a legal term for the observance of legislation, standards and guidelines, although also of codes of conduct voluntarily established in companies. Compliance is the term used to describe legally correct, fair conduct. Compliance management involves monitoring the regulatory framework and the organisational structure to safeguard against breaches of regulations. We are happy to advise you if the need arises, perhaps in the introduction of compliance regulations oriented to your company's business practice.
Inheritance law and foundation law
Arranging property succession in a sensible manner is a quite complex process from a legal perspective. In this context, we can advise you on drafting a will and concluding inheritance contracts, although also on the option of transferring assets whilst you are still alive, possibly justified by beneficial use (usufruct). Where foundation law is concerned, the focus is on establishing a foundation, drawing up articles of association, determining the capital base and defining the purpose of the foundation. We are also happy to provide legal support for you after the foundation has been created.
Commercial rental law, lease law and leasehold law
Addressing matters regarding rental and lease law are part of the day-to-day work in our office. A particular focus of our work is commercial rental law. We also deal with matters concerning leasehold law.
Commercial criminal law
In a law office specialising in commercial law it is inevitable that we are also presented with matters of commercial criminal law. In this regard, we can draw on many years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of commercial law, criminal law and criminal procedure law.
When providing commercial law services, overlaps emerge that require an insight into the field of employment law.
General civil law and civil procedural law
General civil law covers all issues concerning contracts, among many other areas. We have many years of experience not only in drafting contracts but also in disputes before the courts that arise from the contracts. Naturally, this legal field also covers claims of all kinds. We can advise and support you regarding your rights, as well as in the assertion of your claims and legal positions in court.
Private international law
In EUREGIO, many legal relationships, particularly in the fields of private and commercial law, have a cross-border dimension. This means that the relevant regulations of the respective foreign law must be observed and that preliminary questions, i.e., which law is to be applied and in which country your claims can be asserted, are also to be answered.
